Kentucky Living Illustrations!

TravelingillustrationKLMiller

I recently worked with Kentucky Living magazine to create illustrations for their November 2012 issue.  I illustrated the article "Road Report" by Kentucky author, Bobby Ann Mason.  Art direction was by Anita Travis, Paul Wesslund and Elinor Hobgood.  The article is about book tours and how sometimes the smaller locations like local libraries can be more fun due to having more one on one time with fans.  It also tells a funny story about taking notes on arrival times and trying to factor in time zones.  According to Anita, Bobby Ann Mason enjoyed the illustrations and exclaimed "The illustrations are indispensable!" I am thrilled by this quote and always love to hear when an author enjoys my illustrations of their work.

The magazine will be distributed to normal locations as well as at the Kentucky Book Fair in November so check it out if you are in the area!

Here are the illustrations in context in the magazine.  I believe they turned out really well.
